Welland & District SPCA Mobile Outreach Clinic
The following is the new wording for the “End of Life Services” on the new website:
Most of us treat our pets as part of our families. When we are faced with the decision of whether or not to euthanize our pet, it becomes a heart-wrenching experience. We are never ready to say goodbye to our beloved animal, but when we put our pet first, and ourselves second, the decision becomes much easier.
The staff at the Niagara SPCA & Humane Society are here to assist you with this difficult process. Euthanasia of your pet will be carried out with compassion and dignity. This service is offered Monday to Friday. Please contact the shelter to make an appointment.
We want to help you cope with your loss and with the final decisions of your faithful friend. We offer options of private cremation and communal cremation. With a private cremation, the ashes are placed in an urn of your choice and returned to you.
If a final resting place for your pet is of interest to you, we offer our pet cemetery as a place for your beloved pet and a place for you and your family for reflection and memories. Our pet cemetery was established on our shelter grounds in 1988. The purchase of a plot will accommodate urns of up to four family pets and an engraved granite marker stone for each pet. Please contact Tammy at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
