Northern Rescue is Back How to Adopt

Niagara SPCA Newsletter

At this time, adoptions are still being processed by appointment at our Welland and Niagara Falls shelters. Animals can be viewed online and our adoption staff can be reached by telephone or email. Our Seaway Mall Cat Adoption Centre is open to the public Monday – Friday 10am to 5pm and no appointment is necessary however we are limiting the number of guests inside the centre at a time. Also, the use of face coverings is still currently required by law in Niagara in all enclosed public spaces, subject to medical and other exemptions.

We are once again heading out on the road to help take some pressure off of northern Canadian rescue groups working in partnership with Indigenous communities to curb dog overpopulation. This type of work is ongoing and on August 29th, our small team will be bringing these animals into Niagara to boost their chances of adoption. And we’re going to be streaming parts of the journey live on Facebook.

"Can't you hear that, human!?"

Our pets ears are MUCH more sensitive than ours. Some sounds we may never think twice about, or even hear, can be quite obvious to them.
